Preventive measures in place to tackle floods in Chennai: SP Velumani

SP Velumani, Minister for Municipal Administration and Rural Development today said that the Tamil Nadu Government is working on measures to circumvent floods in Chennai city ahead of the rains this year.

"Three robotic vehicles, costing Rs 19.5 crores, are involved in de-silting process ", said Minister SP Velumani at a press meet today. 

"Various precautionary measures focussed on avoiding floods in Chennai were discussed in the meeting today," added Velumani.
