Anna University to conduct program on higher education opportunities

A high-level delegation from various universities from United States will be visiting Anna University next week to interact with the higher semester students of undergraduate.

Accordingly, the delegates will be interacting with the students to know about program/degree selection, research and internship opportunities and most importantly scholarships available and higher education in the US universities. 

Sources from Anna University said the US delegates will be coming to the campus on September 12. Representatives from George Washington University, New York University, George Mason University, Northern Kentucky University and Marquette University will be interacting with the final year UG students, who will be pursuing PG courses from next academic year.

“This session will be highly beneficial to the higher semester students of undergraduate,” Director, Centre for International Affairs of Anna University Professor N Rajendran said.

Similarly, representatives of Research Grants Council of Hong Kong is expected to come to the campus for launching Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme.

The scheme aims to attract the students to pursue PhD. Studies will be in Hong Kong’s research universities. A total of 250 fellowships will be awarded for PhD studies commencing in the 2019/20 academic year. 

Likewise, as per the Memorandum of Understanding with the Anna University, National Chin-Yi University of Technology, will be offering a ‘IOT & Arduino Course and Training’ for improving international exchange and student’s horizon as well as employment competitiveness. In addition, as per the agreement, the University of Tours, France is will also be offering scholarship of Master type (training and/or research) for 2018-2019.
