Couple, son held for cheating

The accused have been identified as V Suresh Kumar (55) of Alandur, his wife Latha (49) and their son S Deepak (28). While Suresh Kumar is already in prison in another cheating case, the other two have been arrested based on a latest complaint.

Suresh Kumar, who used to run a firm called DLS Developers and DLS Properties on Rameswaram Road, cheated a number of persons to the tune of several lakhs with forged documents of prime properties with the help of Latha and Suresh Kumar, said police. Police suspect involvement of a bigger gang and intensified the investigation. 

Rajasekaran and Anand, who helped Suresh Kumar for preparing fake seals, stamps and fake IDs for imposter owners, were also arrested a few months ago. 

Recently, Suresh Kumar was arrested for cheating a retired teacher of Rs 32 lakh, while Saravanan, a techie, lost Rs 10 lakh which he paid as advance to buy a property worth Rs 90 lakh on OMR.
