Special camps for electoral rolls verification held
The second special electoral camp by the Election Commission of India (ECI) was conducted, on Sunday.

Voters who had various discrepancies in their Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) and needed change in their names and constituencies approached the respective polling booths for necessary correction. The officials in the polling booths collected the respective forms and processed them.
The ECI released the draft electoral roll on September 1 and announced that four special camps would be conducted to facilitate the voters to make necessary changes in their voter ID cards. Accordingly, two special camps were planned in September and two more in October. The first camp was conducted on September 9 and the second camp was conducted on Sunday. In the camp, form 6 was submitted for new enrolments and youth who turn 18 on January 1, 2019, can apply for new enrolment.
Other forms such as form 7 for deletions, form 8 for change of name and form 8A for change of names within constituency was also submitted. Two more special camps would be conducted on October 6 and 13. The final day for voters to file their claims and objections is on October 31.
