Gutkha worth Rs 60 lakh seized, one arrested

The traffic police personnel, who were involved in a regular vehicle check on Chennai-Kolkata Road, tried to intercept a van, but it sped away. Police personnel chased the van and cornered it a few kilometres away. 

While there were two persons in the van, one managed to escape. Police secured the driver, Rajeshkumar (20), and searched the van. They found gutkha products weighing over 1.5 tonne inside and seized it. They are also searching for another person, who fled the spot.
