According to a circular, the mofussil buses that start from the bus terminus at Koyambedu on which seats are filled to capacity would not go through Tambaram and Perungalathur routes. Instead, they would take the alternative route via Maduravoyal, Poonamallee, Nazarathpet and Outer Ring Road to reach Vandalur.

Because of this, the passengers who had specified Tambaram and Perungaluthur as their boarding points have been asked to board at Urapakkam (CMDA premises - Kelambakkam).

The long-distance buses to Andhra Pradesh via Red Hills would depart from the satellite bus terminus at Madhavaram. The buses along East Coast Road to reach Puducherry, Cuddalore and Chidambaram would start from KK Nagar bus depot.

MEPZ depot would be the boarding point for all buses including SETC that ply via Vikravandi and Panruti to reach Tindivanam, Kumbakonam via Vikravandi and Thanjavur.

The bus depot near Tambaram Railway station would be the boarding point for all the buses to Tiruvannamalai. Similarly, the Poonamallee bus depot would be the boarding point for all the buses to Arcot, Arani, Cheyyar, Kancheepuram, Vellore, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Tirupathur and Hosur.

The passengers who have reserved seats can board the buses at Koyambedu bus terminus, while unreserved commuters can board from the temporary bus stops for the abovementioned days.

Mofussil buses to Mayiladuthurai, Kumbakonam (ECR), Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Tiruvannamalai, Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Cuddalore, Virudhachalam, Tiruchy, Dindigul, Pudukottai, Karaikudi, Ramanathapuram, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Tirunelveli, Senkottai, Thoothukudi, Tiruchendur, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari, Salem, Coimbatore, Pollachi, and Ernakulam in Kerala and Bengaluru in Karnataka would leave from the bus terminus at Koyambedu.

To facilitate connectivity, the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) would operate additional services to these temporary boarding points.
