3-year-old’s kidnap: Cops pick up another woman

R Jothy (50) of Otteri had approached Kuttyammal and Aishwarya to kidnap a kid for her childless sister, said police. Though the duo sought Rs 2 lakh initially, it was negotiated to Rs 1 lakh. Police said Jothy, who was remanded in judicial custody on Thursday, is a suspect in some other kidnap cases as well.

 Ajay Manikandan (3), was kidnapped from his school on Monday afternoon by Kuttyammal and Aishwarya. His father Prakash lodged a complaint at Pulianthope police and a special team rescued the child from Vyasarpadi and arrested the duo.
