Amman idol abandoned in Selaiyur dump yard
A one-foot tall Amman idol was found abandoned at a dump yard in Selaiyur on Sunday. Sources said that conservancy workers, who came to clear the garbage, found the bronze idol and alerted the Tambaram police.

The police went to the spot and recovered the idol. They are investigating whether the idol was hidden by smugglers or someone threw it after the idol wing sleuths warned of action against people who are in possession of antique artefacts without any proper documents.
