Petrol retails at Rs 81.84 in Chennai

Petrol and diesel prices were cut down in accordance with international price of crude oil. Petrol price fell by 22 paise per litre while diesel price dipped 18 paise per litre. 

Price of petrol and diesel started to decline from October 18. The fall of fuel price in last two weeks came as a temporary relief to vehicle users.

State-run oil marketing companies Indian Oil Corp (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL) revise fuel prices with effect from 0600 hrs on a daily basis.
