Chennai
Noopur Kalra (or Simply Moda, her blogging moniker) is one of the earliest fashion bloggers in the city who got popular and is also a professor at a city institute. Her popularity can be attributed to her relatability as she is petite and real. Nothing gets in the way of her wanting to experiment with trends or wear outfits she likes. Like a true blogger, she made her engagement official on Instagram and since then her followers have been getting to see her plan the wedding to dealing with stress.
Last week, she jetted off to Sri Lanka with her closest girls for her bachelorette trip (a trend that is catching up in the city). Ashwini Kumar, a popular model and one of Noopur’s besties, dishes on their trip. “Sri Lanka was a lot of fun and we had an adventurous and chilled out holiday. We partied the night away at casinos in Colombo and then we went to the beaches down south for a more relaxed vibe. She has been making plans for her wedding for a long time; we love that she is so unabashedly extra! All of us bridesmaids surprised her one night with gifts and games and had a fun hen night. However, some things have changed — earlier, we used to be up all night when we went on holidays, now we do need to get more sleep!” she said laughingly.
With the wedding set in the New Year, we are wishing Noopur and her musician fiance Anuj Dimri a wedding as happy as Deepveer’s.
Chennaiites can soon boast of a new watering hole
One of the sweetest couples in town, who after shaking up the events industry, have their sights firmly set on conquering the city’s nightlife. After the success of Double Decker in Bengaluru, Athreya and Reema Thakkar Tiwari are coming to Chennai with a new watering hole — BFF — that will be launching very soon in Alwarpet.
Wishes from their friends and family have been pouring in on social media since last week and the secret is out. If the parties they have hosted in the past are anything to go by, this will truly be a place where new friendships will be forged and old ones get strengthened. This just might be the hottest place to party this New Years Eve; so keep your eyes and ears open.
