Woman crushed to death between two MTC buses
A 49-year-old woman passenger was crushed to death between two MTC buses at T Nagar bus terminus on Wednesday.

The victim, S Valli, a resident of Lake View Road at West Mambalam, was on her way to work when the accident happened.
Valli works as an office clerk at a private college in Thoraipakkam. She reached the bus terminus around 9 am on a share auto and saw an MTC bus (route No 519) bound for Thoraipakkam ready at the entrance of the terminus and rushed towards it. Meanwhile, another bus (route No 597 plying between T Nagar and Tiruvallur) tried to exit the bus stand.
Valli who was caught between both the buses was crushed. Other passengers rushed her to Government Royapettah Hospital with grievous injuries, but she died without responding to treatment.
The Mambalam law and order police registered a case and secured both drivers Kannabiran and Ravi. The police said that they would be booked under Section IPC 304A (causing death due to negligence).
Valli is survived by her husband Sugadev (52) and a 19-year-old daughter.
