MDMK’s protest against Governor today

MDMK general secretary Vaiko has said several thousands of people from seventy various outfits and cadres of political parties will join the ‘Get Out Governor’ protest in Chennai on December 3 (Monday).

The opposition leader and DMK president MK Stalin has extended full support to the protest and parties including CPM, CPI, VCK, Tamilaga Valvurimai Katchi and ‘May 17 Movement, also extended their support to join the protest to be organised jointly by the MDMK and the Dravidar Kazhagam near the Raj Bhavan, Vaiko said while talking to reporters at Kovilpatti in Thoothukudi district on Sunday. 

Vaiko accused Governor Banwarilal Purohit of having violated the Article 161 of Constitution and ignored the Supreme Court Justice Ranjan Gogoi’s verdict against three AIADMK men, who were found guilty of burning a bus, in which three girl students were burnt alive, in Dharmapuri. However, he is delaying the release of seven convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, he added.
