No more extension to write arrears, says Anna varsity
Following several representations by the students, Anna University has ruled out the option to extend any more time to those who have exhausted their maximum time to write arrear exams.

“All the students were informed that those who have exhausted their maximum time, have been permitted to write their examinations as a special case in February 2018 and August 2018 under humanitarian grounds with an advice to the students to utilise those final chances were provided by the university with care and diligent,” the institution said in its communication.
Stating that explicit details have been provided in the web-portal of Anna University in this regard, the circular said, “In spite of the publicity for the announcement, a number of students miserably failed to utilise those chances. Now they are seeking for further extension of time to write their arrear examinations by relaxing the regulations of the university, which is unsustainable”.
The university said that no proposal is pending in the institution to consider a further extension and hence, any representation in this regard would not be entertained by the office on any account. “Therefore, the students are requested to desist themselves to send such requests to the university,” the communique said. “It may not be possible of this office to send a reply to every individual for their representations in this regard,” the communique stated.
