Seven wolf pups, two Nilgai calves added to Vandalur Zoo’s collection
Seven Indian Grey Wolf pups and Nilgais were added to the Vandalur Zoo’s collection on Thursday.

According to the zoo officials, the wolf pups were born two months ago of which six were male. “The pups were kept on continuous veterinary monitoring and after ensuring that the pups have reached the stable phase on Thursday they were put on display at the yard along with their mother,” a release from the zoo stated. As of now, there are 13 Indian Grey wolves on display at the zoo.
A Nilgai in the park also gave birth two calves recently and they were put in the yard for public display with the mother on Thursday.
Park officials said that with the new members and newly-added facilities like battery operated vehicles, separate room for breast feeding mothers and extra parking facilities, they are hoping to attract a good crowd during the Pongal holidays.
