Drunk father loses 4-yr-old boy
An unidentified man kidnapped a four-year-old boy, who was standing alone at the roadside as his father passed out after consuming liquor, in Oragadam on Wednesday.

The boy was identified as Kumaraguru, a resident of Shentha Mangalam village near Oragadam. He is the only child of Kumaraprasath (36), a daily wage worker and Murugammal (30). Around 2.30 on Wednesday, Kumaraprasath went out for shopping and his son accompanied him. After that, Kumaraprasath went to a Tasmac shop in the locality and consumed liquor on the roadside and slept there, the police said.
As both of them did not return for a long time, Murugammal searched for them. While she found Kumaraprasath lying on the road, Kumaraguru was missing. Following this, they filed a complaint with the Oragadam police. Police when browsed the CCTV footage of a nearby building found a dhoti-clad man, who appeared to be in his early 40s, taking the boy. The police have registered a case and trying to identify the man.
