2 Daily Thanthi stalls at Chennai Book Fair
The 42nd edition of the Chennai Book Fair will commence on Friday with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami inaugurating it at Nandanam YMCA ground. The fair will have 2 dedicated stalls for Daily Thanthi Group and it will have various books to attract lakhs of readers.

The exhibition, organised by the Booksellers and Publishers Association of South India (BAPASI), will continue till January 20 and will have 800 stalls. The office-bearers of the association said that the fair will be open from 2 pm to 9 pm on working days and from 11 am to 9 pm on on weekends and public holidays.
The Chief Minister will also distribute awards to writers on the inauguration day. The organisers also pointed out that free passes have been distributed to more than five lakh students below the age of 12 years.
For the first time, the tickets for the book fair will be available online. This year the book sales are expected to cross Rs 15 crore against last years Rs 10 crore. The fair is also expected to attract more than 25 lakh people.
