Man grilled after ganja plants found in ‘terrace garden’
Weeks after a security guard was caught for growing ganja in his house near Chennai, a similar case of the contraband reared in a ‘terrace garden’ came to light in Gudiyattam on Friday.

Acting on complaints that ganja was being grown in a home at Pichanur, a team from Gudiyattam town police station visited the house and found seized three plantson the premises.
Cops seized and took them to the police station. Beliappa (45), who was residing in the house at Avvainagar in Pichanur was also picked upfor interrogation.
During inquiries, Beliappa claimed that he was innocent and did not know that they were ganja plants. The man said that he thought they were exotic species and reared them in the terrace garden.
At the time of going to press, no case was registered as Beliappa stood his ground and insisted that he was not aware that they wereganja plants.
