While the police initially thought that Prakash of Maduvankarai was run over by the train, the post-mortem examination report revealed that he was hacked to death before he was thrown on the railway track to make it look like an accident. While Parakash’s father passed away a few years ago, his mother is a flower vendor. He also has a sister, who is married. Prakash, who did not have a proper job, is suspected to have been murdered on New Year’s eve overprevious enmity.
Prakash’s body was spotted by public on January 1. After an alert, the Tambaram Railway police retrieved the body and sent it to Government Royapettah Hospital for post-mortem examination. He was identified as Prakash the next day. The Railway police said that the suspects will be nabbed soon. Further investigation is on.
