In the latest incident reported on Wednesday, the conman entered the GH building and walked away with a backpack belonging to a PG student. He was seen wearing a blue shirt, the colour commonly used by the ward boys and other assistants in the GH.
The CCTV footage showed the man casually walking away with the backpack that contained a laptop. Later, the owner of the bag received a call from Sulurpet Railway police saying that bag with contained all his study materials was found abandoned. However, the laptop was missing.
This is the fourth such theft reported in the GH in the last one month. “A doctor’s laptop was lifted in a similar fashion 10 days ago,” the police said.
