Nearly two weeks after a minor fatally knocked down a woman in Kasimedu, another accident involving a minor was reported in North Chennai.

Two women suffered injuries and 10 other vehicles, including two cars, were damaged after the car ran amok in Washermanpet on Sunday.
The 17-year-old boy from Madurai, a first-year degree student, had come to his relative’s house in Chennai and took the car under the pretext of driving within the campus. However, he took the Honda City out on the road and lost control. He hit vehicles parked on the roadside on Elaya Street, Sundaram Pillai Nagar and Vaidyanathan Bridge. The car came to a halt after ramming a tree,” the police said. Two women on the road panicked and fell. The injured were admitted to a hospital.
Passers-by gathered assaulted the juvenile before a traffic policeman could rescue the boy. He was booked for rash driving and later released on bail.
