‘Police’ Fakrudin rushed to hosp with chest pain
Extremist and Puzhal prison inmate S Fakrudin alias ‘Police’ Fakrudin was rushed to Stanley Medical College Hospital after he complained of sudden chest pain in the wee hours of Friday.

The police said that Fakrudin complained of chest pain at 3.30 am and was taken to the emergency ward of Stanley Medical College Hospital at 4.30 am. He was kept in the Intensive care unit (ICU). The police said the convict ward of the hospital came under high security after Fakrudin was admitted there.
After the check-up, he was brought back to the High Security Prison-1 in Puzhal around 11 am. Fakrudin, Panna Ismail and Bilal Malik were arrested in 2013 as main suspects in plotting attacks on Bharatiya Janata Party Leader LK Advani during October 2011, murder of Hindu Munnani leader Vellaiyan and BJP member V Ramesh in Salem.
They were transferred to several state prisons such as Cuddalore Central Prison and Vellore and he was transferred to Puzhal Prison in 2017. He is said to be normal after treatment, said prisons officials.
