Hotter days forecast for city
Bidding adieu to the cold and pleasant nights, the city will witness a sharp increase in the maximum temperature in the coming days.

“For the past two days, the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has not recorded fog during nights. Further, the fog has been downgraded to mist, which is expected to last only for a few more days,” said an RMC official.
This year, the recorded minimum temperature was 18 degrees Celsius on January 1 and 9. Whereas the recorded maximum temperature was 31 degrees Celsius on six different days in January this year. In 2018, the maximum temperature recorded in January was 31.1 degrees Celsius on the 13th of the month.
Until Saturday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 31.6 degrees Celsius and 32.1 degrees Celsius was recorded on Sunday. “This increasing trend is expected to continue,” the official added.
For the next two days, the city will have an overcast sky with a maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius.
