Man damages police patrol vehicle, surrenders

Police control room received a call at 3:45 am alleging that a drunk man, identified as Murugan, was misbehaving in Tsunami Nagar. A patrol team from Semmanchery brought him to the police station. 

While they were on their way, two of Murugan’s friends followed the patrol vehicle and used a machete to damage the window panels of the vehicle. While police launched a hunt for the duo, one of the suspects R Suresh (22) from Semmanchery surrendered before the Saidapet Magistrate. He was remanded.
