Anna University organises Technology Exhibition 2019
Centre for Technology Development and Transfer, Anna University recently organised the Technology Exhibition 2019 along with two seminars entitled Enabling knowledge transfer for societal benefits and Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development Goals.

On the first day of the seminar, 185 teams from Anna University — Student Innovative Projects exhibited their products. Dr MK Surappa, Vice Chancellor of Anna University emphasised on the need for sustainable growth based on Science, Technology and Innovation. He cited some of the applications in agriculture for which the Young generation can contribute for the welfare of the society.
He advised the researchers to focus on needs-based products to help farmers use innovative technology. Dr S Thamarai Selvi, Director Centre for Technology Development and Transfer requested smart society to develop economically feasible products to realise the sustainable development goals using Science, Technology and Innovation. She informed about the approval of Technology Enabling Centre by department of science and technology, New Delhi to Centre for Technology Development and Transfer of Anna University.
Dr VS Senthil Kumar, Additional Director Centre for Technology Development and Transfer (CTDT) narrated the activities of CTDT. Dr Surendranath Panda, Director NITTTR Chennai chaired the expert evaluation panel consisting of professors from IIT, Scientist from CSIR lab.

The Technology Exhibition 2019 organised by Centre for Technology Development and Transfer of Anna University attracted the students of Anna University in and around Chennai. Many visitors appreciated the efforts and innovation of students.
The evaluation committee announced the teams who won the first three prizes. First Prize — Kongu Engineering College on title “Eco Friendly Construction blocks from debris using the innovative CO 2 sequestration technique” by students M Diwakar, M Durgairaja, M Fartheenkhan, V Gowtham, N Balaji, and Mentor Dr GS Ram Pradheep.
