“The cyclonic circulation at 1.5 kilometres above mean sea level over Kanyakumari and its neighbourhoods have become less marked. For the past two days, the weather system has been pleasant due to a trough in the area,” said an on-duty officer at the Regional Meteorological Center (RMC).

Meanwhile, a few districts recorded isolated rainfall in the last week, including Tirunelveli (10.1 mm), Theni (7.4 mm), Nilgiris (40.8 mm) and Virudhunagar (3 mm).

However, on Sunday, districts, including Tiruthani (38.2 degrees Celsius), Tiruchy (37.6 degrees Celsius), Salem (37.4 degrees Celsius) and Dharmapuri (37 degrees Celsius) recorded high temperatures.

The city is likely to have an overcast sky, recording a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius for the next two days.
