Man arrested for molesting Class 9 student in Saidapet
The Mambalam police have arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly molesting a Class 9 girl in her house on Wednesday. The accused, Sudhakar of T Nagar, who supplies water cans in the locality, entered the girl’s house in Kannammapet in the guise of delivering water can.

He molested the girl when she was alone in the house. Based on a complaint by the girl’s parents, the Mambalam police registered a case and remanded Sudhakar in judicial custody.
Meanwhile, in another incident, the Egmore railway police have arrested a 33-year-old man for molesting a woman passenger on Rameswaram Express. The incident happened in the wee hours of Wednesday when the woman hailing from West Bengal was travelling towards Egmore. Her co-passenger Budhwa Singh (33) of Bihar allegedly tried to misbehave with her around 5 am when the train was crossing Tindivanam.
The woman lodged a complaint at the Egmore railway station after she reachedthe city.
A case was registered and Budhwa Singh was arrested under Section 354 of IPC and 4 of TNPHW Act.He was remanded in judicial custody on Tuesday.
