“He publicly posted his grievance while serving in the uniformed disciplined force. This is the second time he is doing this,” a senior police officer said.
‘I am planning to surrender my inspector of police promotion and award given by the former CM of Tamil Nadu Selvi J Jayalalithaa for the encounter of Veerappan before the present CM of Tamil Nadu, then quit my job because my good service because of insult by few officers in the government and mislead two home secretaries and chief ministers in my next promotion issue before the court and denied it 6 years,” he had said in his tweet.
Jawahar was among those given accelerated promotion and made inspector in 2004 after he was part of the Special Task Force which hunted down Veerappan. The official stand is that an accelerated promotees would have to wait for their next elevation till all their batch mates catch up with them in seniority.
