Toy pistol creates panic in CMBT

A conductor of a government bus, that reached CMBT from Hosur, found a bag on one of the seats of the vehicle after all the passengers got down. He then handed it over to the timekeeper at the bus terminus around 3.30 am. 

The timekeeper checked the bag and found a gun inside apart from some imitation jewels and an identity card. He immediately handed it over to the CMBT police. 

As the gun looked like a country made gun, the police with the help of identity cards called the bag owner Vasu (30) of Anna Nagar, who works in a film studio. Investigation revealed that it was a toy gun and he bought it for a child. 

However, as Vasu is an accused in the murder of his brother in JJ Nagar, the police interrogated him thoroughly before letting him off. However, police have kept the pistol for further investigation. Inspector Rajkumar said that it was a plastic gun and there was nothing suspicious about Vasu’s activities.
