KCG Tech partners with X1 Racing for sports car racing league in India
KCG College of Technology, part of the Hindustan Group of Institutions, Chennai, has signed an MoU with X1 Racing which will be bringing a custom-made two-seater sports car racing league to India in the first quarter of next year. India’s top international car racers Armaan Ebrahim and Aditya Patel have joined hands to bring this racing spectacle.

The Xtreme1 Racing League or X1 Racing League will be held in a mix of track and street circuits. Xtreme1 Racing shall be giving a selected set of students from KCG College of Technology, an opportunity to work in the engineering team of the League. Xtreme1 Racing will be launching later this year, 3 months of countrywide e-sports (virtual simulator racing) in colleges, IT parks and malls and 1 month of racing league.
India is home to 40 million vehicles and exported vehicles over 14.8 billion USD worldwide. The automobile industry is one of the key drivers of the Indian economy accounting for over 4% of India’s GDP and over 2 lakh jobs. The auto industry is witnessing a mobility revolution with the harnessing of green technologies and also with the advent of shared riding by OLA, UBER and many other aggregators.
Hindustan Group of Institutions are the pioneers in automobile engineering education since the late 70’s and have many partnerships with automobile MNC’s which has developed Chennai, Tamil Nadu as the Detroit of India. HGI offers many promising and innovative courses in automobile engineering.
KCG College of Technology offers B.E. in Automobile engineering apart from other Engineering programs.
