Minor who came to report harassment, harassed by police

Women safety touched the nadir with a minor reporting to the police on sexual harassment getting sexually harassed by the police.

A class-10 girl from Puzhal whose mother was sexually harassed by her stepfather, went with this complaint to the police. Her complaint was neglected and more appalling was making the girl suffer the same fate as her mother.

Yet, the undaunted mother-daughter duo took the matter to the Mahila Court this morning. They appealed both the girl's stepfather and the immoral police be booked under POCSO. The hearing was reserved to the 10th of this month, declared the bench headed by Judge Bharanidharan.

Morever, the accused police will also face departmental actions against him.
