An investigation revealed that about a week ago, Jebaseelan, an auto driver prevented a minor girl’s wedding in the neighbourhood with the help of police personnel. Infuriated over this, Ramu alias Vinoth, who was the minor’s groom, gathered four of his friends to take revenge on Jebaseelan.
After Vinoth came to know that Jebaseelan got her daughter married in Tirupathi two days ago, he hatched a plan to eliminate him and reached his house with machetes. When Jebaseelan stepped out with his wife Priscilla, the gang surrounded them and hacked Jebaseelan several times. Priscilla also suffered injuries on her hand.
Jebaseelan died on the spot. Shocked relatives rushed Priscilla to Government Stanley Hosptial where she is undergoing treatment. The police have launched a hunt for the gang.
