While there are several pet spa services in the city, you don’t need to spend big bucks to pamper your pooch, and instead can offer thema personal spa in the comfort of your own home. Webring you some tips to please your dogs with aluxurious spa.

1. Begin with a workout

A spa day feels so muchmore fulfilling after a workout as it helps in burning off some excess energy andmaking your dog easier to handle when it is time to bathe and groom. So start the dayby walking your dog in a nearby park or garden. You can also opt for running depending on the activity level of the dog.

2. Nail clipping

Most dogs are uncomfortable with their nails being clipped. So, make it easier on them by keeping handy a spoonful of peanut butter or any other treat handy to distract your pooch, as you clip a little of each nail. Place the clippers where you want to cut and squeeze the trimmers in one quick motion.

3. Gentle massage

Your dog also needs to relax and take away the stress of doing all his duties as the house dog – be it staying alert and warning you of any intruders or just in his or her pursuit of treats. So, start off the spa with a gentle massage by setting up an area on the floor or bed, whichever is comfortable for both of you. Begin with the dog’s head and work your way down his neck by making circular motions with your fingers. You can also use some coconut oil for the massage.

4. Bubble bath time

Keep everything you need like towels, shampoo, conditioner, comb or a brush, handy before you run the water. To keep your dog to stay put as you bathe them, keep that peanut butter and smear a bit on the side of the tub. This will keep him or her busy while you rub. Begin with light brushing to get the tangles out and rinse with water and then use gentle shampoo and conditioner. Use products that can come with added coconut oil as it can help in keeping the coat shiny.

5. Dry time

Most dogs tend to run all around the house soon after the bath to wipe their faces on every piece of furniture you own. Keep the hair dryer at the lowest heat setting and slowest speed intensity, few inches away from him and gently rub with a towel along to absorb all excess water. You can also use a brush to remove any tangles once the coat is completely dry.
