A junior assistant working in the KK Nagar office of the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board was caught red handed by sleuths from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) on Thursday while demanding and receiving Rs 5,000 as bribe for processing and forwarding application of complainant to the TNSCB headquarters for obtaining sale deed of his flat. The arrested government employee was identified as Lenin. The DVAC team also seized Rs 1.2 lakh from the accused as unaccounted money, a press release from the directorate said.
