Civilians thrash MTC bus driver for losing control collides 2 women

Chennai MTC bus ran wild and collided with two women at Annasalai in Teynampet. There was a great commotion at the place as the public started to thrash the bus driver.
On Thursday, a bus was going from Chennai Central to Thiruporur in the evening. Driver Guruswamy, who drove the bus, lost control over it when the bus was at Anna Salai opposite Teynampet police station.
The bus crashed into a scooter and an auto rikshaw and climbed onto the platform. A woman named Malathi, who went on a scooter, and Anjali, who went on the auto rikshaw, were injured.
The public rallied and sent the injured Malathi and Anjali in an ambulance to the Royapettah government hospital.
Bus driver Guruswamy was beaten up by the public and dragged down the road.
Other MTC bus drivers and conductors, who saw this incident, stopped their bus on the road and began to clash with the public.
Inspector Ramesh of the Teynampet police station arrived with the police force to convince the bus drivers and the public. The Police arrested two civilians for allegedly assaulting the driver.
Bus driver Guruswamy told the police that the accident occurred due to the sudden failure of the clutch in the bus. The Pondy Bazaar Traffic Investigation Police have filed a case in connection with the incident.
