Women trio forces girl to become sex worker, detained
Three women were detained by Pulianthope all-women police on the charges that they locked up a 16-year-old girl in a room and forced her to become a sex worker.

The police said that the victim was living with her grandmother in Pulianthope and her mother was working as a daily wage labourer. In June end, the girl went missing after a fight with her grandmother. As she did not return home, her mother lodged a complaint at Pulianthope station on July 3.
The girl who returned home on Monday night revealed to her mother that she was locked up in a room in Vyasarpadi by three women and was sexually assaulted by four men, who were allegedly sent by the trio. “After leaving the house, the victim stayed with her friend. Later, the friend’s neighbour wooed her on the promise of giving her a job and locked her up in a room on July 3,” said police quoting the girl. Three days later, four men allegedly entered the room and raped her. “She escaped from the room and reached the house on Monday,” said police.
Based on her inputs, the police on Tuesday picked up three women, who reportedly have flesh trade charges pending against them, and handed them over to Pulianthope All-Women PoliceStation.
The police are inquiring the women to get more details about the men who were involved in theincident.
