Duo held for murder of anti-social, hunt on for 4 others

The accused have been identified Dinesh alias Manda Dinesh of Padi Kuppam and Akash alias Honest Raj of Nerkundram. A hunt has been launched for four more suspects. Investigation revealed they murdered Ranjith in a drunken brawl after a quarrel erupted between them as to who is the bigger rowdy among them.

As Ranjith reportedly ridiculed others claiming that he was superior to them as he was brave enough to attack a policeman, others became irked and smashed his head with a stone apart from stabbing with a liquor bottle in his abdomen on Saturday night.

Ranjith was found dead near a carton making unit in Nerkundram on Sunday morning and Koyambedu police registered a case after being alerted by passers-by.
