Realtor found dead with severe injuries on face

The deceased was identified as Velu from Chunambedu village near Cheyyur in neighbouring Kancheepuram district. Velu, who was into real estate business, was the deputy secretary of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) of Kancheepuram district unit.

According to police, Velu had gone to have drinks along with his friends on Tuesday night. But he did not return home even by morning. On Wednesday morning, the villagers spotted Velu lying in a vacant land in the locality, and found that he was already dead. He had injuries on the face, police said.

The Chunambedu police arrived at the spot and sent the body for post-mortem examination at Chengalpattu government hospital. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
