21 cadets from foreign countries among 204 pass-outs of OTA

A total of 204 Gentleman and Lady cadets, including 21 from foreign countries, graduated from the Officers Training Academy (OTA) here on Saturday.

There were 153 Gentleman cadets and 30 Lady cadets from India. Of the foreign cadets, six Gentleman cadets and two Lady cadets were from Bhutan, two Gentleman cadets and three Lady cadets from Seychelles, two Gentleman cadets and two Lady cadets from the Maldives, two Gentleman cadets from Fiji and two Lady cadets from Uganda.


Lieutenant General Satinder Kumar Saini, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, reviewed the passing out parade held to mark the occasion of the commissioning of the SSC-108 and SSC (W)-22 course into the Indian Army.


Lieutenant General Satinder Kumar Saini presented the Sword of Honour and gold medal to Academy Under Officer Ravi Kumar, silver medal to Battalion Under Officer Abhishek Kumar and the bronze medal to Academy cadet Adjutant Wickremaditya Manker. He appreciated the cadets and staff of the Officers Training Academy on the exceptional standards of display at the passing out parade and urged them to adhere to the core values of the Indian Army. He encouraged the cadets to strive for excellence while meeting the security challenges of the country.
