Actress attempts immolation, ex-boyfriend booked for rape

The police said that the complainant was in relationship with one Susi alias Fakrudhin from Puzhal whom she met through a common friend three years ago. She alleged that the Susi spiked her soft drinks and clicked her photos and videos of her in obscene manner.

Later, he allegedly threatened her that he would release the videos on social media and sexually assaulted her several times. When she lodged a complaint with Puzhal police earlier, they allegedly compromised them without registering a complaint.

On Friday night, Susi reached her house and threatened to murder her mother if she doesn’t give him money. Following this, she approached Vadapalani all-woman police demanding his arrest.

However, the police told her to approach Puzhal police. Frustrated over this, she allegedly doused herself with kerosene and threatened to immolate self. Police personnel thwarted her bid and Vadapalani Assistant Commissioner Arokiya Prakasam held talks with her. Later, all-woman police registered a case against Susi under sections, including rape, and are searching for him.
