51K persons book tickets for Deepavali spl buses

A review meeting was chaired by Transport Department principal secretary B Chandramohan here on the operation of special buses from October 24 for Deepavali. From October 24 to 26, the corporations would operate 10,940 special buses from Chennai to various parts of the State. Besides, 8,310 buses would be operated in the rest of the State. “From the special counters, 33,870 persons have booked tickets from Chennai. In other parts of the State, 17,338 persons have booked the bus tickets,” anofficial release said.
