Chennai
Agatti beach, Lakshadweep
One of the cleanest beaches, this beach is a paradise on earth. Its turquoise coloured water gives a clear view of coral reefs, while the calm sea waves take you to a different world. Less commercialised and untouched by the tourists, the beach is a divine beauty.
How to reach: One needs special permits to visit Lakshadweep. You can catch a flight from Kochi.
Best time to visit: December-May
Radhanagar beach, Andaman and Nicobar Islands
Located in one of the beautiful islands of Andamans, Radhanagar beach is the main attraction of Havelock Island. It is the second-longest beach in Asia. This exotic beach is not lesser than any international beach and is absolutely stunning. With its crystal clear water and coral views, the place is best for photography and for a relaxing vacation.
How to reach: Government and private ferries are available from Port Blair to Havelock Island.

Marari, Kerala
Alappuzha is famous for its backwaters and houseboat stays, and just 11 km away from this place is a quiet unexplored beach called Marari. If you wish to experience the calmness and serenity of a beach, then this place is surely for you. The beach is not yet commercialised and is pretty laid back. Surrounded by a small fishing village named Mararikulam, this beach is worth visiting for a
stress-free day.
How to reach: The nearest railway station is Alappuzha and from there, one could hire a taxi. The nearest airport is Kochi Airport, which is 60 km away.

Talasari beach, Odisha
One of the virgin beaches of Odisha, travellers can feel the rhythm (tala) on the beach surrounded by casuarina, coconut and palm trees that make for a beautiful sight. Near the Odisha-Bengal border, the beach is quite flat and the waves are small and playful. The estuary of Subarnarekha river can be seen in the distance and one has to cross the backwaters to reach the sea, which makes the trip all the more exciting.
How to reach: The nearest railway station in Odisha is Jaleshwar, which is 36 km away and the nearest airport is Bhubaneswar, which is 300 km away.

Malpe beach, Karnataka
Located at a distance of 66 km from Mangaluru and about 6 km from Udupi, Malpe beach is an undefiled virgin beach. This untouched beauty is a silent retreat for its visitors. The beach is gaining popularity due to its clean water and beautiful location. Just 15 km away from this place is a beautiful small island known as St Mary’s island, which is popular for the huge basalt rocks. The island is also known as Coconut Island due to the sight of coconut trees all around.
How to reach: 425 km from Bengaluru, this place is well connected by roads and railways.

Bhogwe Beach, Maharashtra
Just a five-minute trek away from the town of Parule, Bhogwe Beach is one of the most underrated beaches in Maharashtra. With most of the beach-going crowds opting for other popular nearby beaches such as Tarkarli, Bhogwe Beach draws far fewer visitors around the year, making it a secluded and hidden gem. Apart from its clean, golden sand and palm trees, the Bhogwe Beach is also close to a number of other great attractions such as the Nivti Fort and eco-stay resorts.
How to reach: The nearest railway stations are Kudal, Sindhudurg and Kankavali. Konkan Railway connects all these stations.
