CKR forays into animal healthcare business

Chennai’s veteran business leader CK Ranganathan (fondly known as CKR) has announced his dream venture at an event held in the city on November 14. He has launched a hi-tech multi-specialty veterinary hospital called Sanchu Animal Hospital in Adyar. “Sanchu Animal Hospital will function very much like a human hospital. It’s my vision, passion, love and commitment towards pets, feathered friends and animals which have always been very close companions to me right from my childhood. It took several years for me to conceptualise this model with theright team backed by strong R&D, which I believe plays a critical role in any sustainable quality offering.

The team has gathered a substantial amount of knowledge in pet care by successfully maintaining and treating more than 2,000 birds, two dozen canines, ponies, ostriches and around 150 cows at two of my homesteads in Chennai and Cuddalore for last few years.

Their incredible success in helping these animals to recover from several complicated cases gave me the confidence to launch the animal hospital,” he said during the event.

The businessman also said that his vision was to make Sanchu Animal Hospital a hi-tech multi-specialty global chain of hospitals. The hospital will offer specialty services in dermatology, dentistry, cardiology, internal medicine, neurology, surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, etc., available 24 hours a day.A ramp walk was also organised where children were accompanied by different breeds of animals and birds.
