JNTU recognises Sathyabama’s PG part-time courses

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU),Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh, has announced that the part time M E, M Tech degrees earned from Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology (SIST), will be valid.

In a press release, the JawaharlalNehru Technological University, passed an order declaring that part-timeM E, M Tech engineering degrees run bySathyabama Institute of Science andTechnology is equivalent to the full timeM E, M Tech engineering degrees.


Earlier the University held that the part-time PG engineering degrees were not valid. Following the announcement, sixAssistant Professors lost their jobs. They filed a petition to the Tamil Nadu Information Commission, which directed theInstitute to furnish documents to the Government of Andhra Pradesh andJawaharlal Nehru Technological University.After the documents were verified, theStanding Committee, JNTU, accepted that thedegrees offered by the Institute is valid.
