Claiming that the government had stopped giving permission to special screening of movies, activist said a theatre complex in Jafferkhanpet had screened a Tamil movie, released on Friday at 4 am without getting the required permission.  “I have already lodged a complaint with the police about the theatre’s plan to screen the movie 4 am on Friday, but the police have not taken any steps to stop the screening,” activist Kasimayan said. As per government norms, from Monday to Friday only four shows are allowed in theatres across the State. A fifth show is allowed only on government holidays and during festivals after getting prior permission from the government.
