2 lose phones to snatchers in Koyambedu

On Saturday night, Saravanalogan (21) of Anna Nagar, a college student, was walking towards the terminus to board a bus to his hometown in Thanjavur district. A bike-borne duo snatched his phone and fled the spot. Based on his complaint, CMBT police registered a case and further investigation is on.

Meanwhile, another pedestrian was snatched of his phone in the wee hours of Sunday. However, passers-by who witnessed the incident managed to chase and secure one of accused. The victim, Karthikeyan of Minjur, was walking on the 100 Feet Road near CMBT when two men on a bike followed him and snatched his phone. When Karthikeyan raised an alarm, people chased and secured one of them, identified as Dinesh of Arumbakkam. A hunt was launchedfor his aide.

In a similar incident reported in Pattabiram, a woman software engineer lost her phone to snatchers on Friday night. The victim, Sanmathi of Thandurai near Pattabiram, who works at a tech firm on Anna Salai, was waiting for an autorickshaw to return home when a bike-borne duo snatched her phone and fled the spot. Based on her complaint, the Pattabiram police registered a case and launched a hunt for the suspects.
