Teen girl held for bike theft bid
The Triplicane police have arrested a 19-year-old girl for attempting to steal a bike. They have also launched a hunt for her accomplice, another woman.

The arrested woman has been identified as B Sandhya alias Anjugam of Zam Bazaar and the absconding woman has been identified as Monisha from Puducherry. The incident happened around 10 pm on Thayer Sahib Street when the duo allegedly tried to start a bike belonging to one Yasar Arabath of the same locality. Yasar, who noticed their movements on CCTV camera footage, raised an alarm. But the duo fled the spot. Based on his complaint, the Triplicane police registered a case and secured Sandhya. Investigation revealed that they were flower vendors and were addicted to ganja. They attempted bike theft as they were in need of money, said the police.
