Two weeks ago, the police had arrested three college students who peddled this pricey drug, which is known as OG weed among ganja users. Based on a tip-off that ganja was being supplied to college students in and around Valasaravakkam and Vadapalani, the police secured S Vijay (21) of Ramapuram, a final-year BBA student of a deemed university, on January 5. With information he provided, P Harish (21), a final-year mechanical engineering student of a private college in Sriperumpudur, and J Vishal Varun Kumar (21), a final-year BBA student of a deemed university, were also arrested. The police also seized two grams of OG weed, said to be worth Rs 2,500 on the street, from them.
