18-year-old boy on bike rams stray cattle in Tirurverkadu, dies
An 18-year-old boy died after his bike rammed a stray cattle in Tiruverkadu in the wee hours of Sunday.

The deceased, Nandhish of Veeraraghavapuram, was on his way to buy milk on his two-wheeler when he hit the cattle standing in the middle of the road around 5 am near Kaduvetti on Poonamallee-Avadi Main Road. He was thrown away from the vehicle in the impact. Passers-by rushed him to a private hospital in Porur. However, he died without responding to treatment.
Angered by his death, his relatives and neighbours staged a protest blocking the traffic. On information, the police rushed to the spot and held talks with the protesters, after which they dispersed.
The Poonamallee traffic investigation police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
