30-year-old held for forcing minor into flesh trade
A minor girl, who was taken in a car with an intention to be pushed into commercial sex, was rescued by her brother in the zero hours of Thursday in the city and the police have arrested the car driver.

The accused, identified as K Prakash (30), has robbery and burglary cases pending against him at the Avadi Tank Factory police station. The police have seized his car along with a machete.
The 14-year-old girl was allegedly wooed by Prakash, who offered to pay money if she accompanies him, and took her in his car from Villivakkam on Wednesday night. There was another man, identified as Mohammed Faizal, and the police are interrogating Prakash whether he was an accomplice or a customer.
The girl’s brother, who was having dinner at an eatery, saw her sister in a car that passed by and chased it on his two-wheeler. He managed to intercept the car near Arumbakkam Metro station around 12.30 am and got into a quarrel with the duo.
On information, a patrol team of the Choolaimedu police rushed to the spot and on seeing them, Faizal managed to flee. Prakash, the minor girl and her brother were brought to the station. Interrogation revealed that Prakash was on the way to Faizal’s house in Chitlapakkam. The police have arrested Prakash.
