Trio lures 14-yr-old to beach, rapes her

The girl from Villupuram district and resident of Neelankarai is working as a house help at a private firm employee’s house in Adyar. She, who stays in the same house, stepped out on February 8 and did not return.

Her employer had lodged a complaint at the Adyar police station and a case was registered. Posters carrying the girl’s photographs were also pasted in Adyar and Neelankarai to find her.

Recently, An auto driver informed the police that he has seen the girl working at a roadside eatery in Thoraipakkam. Based on that, the police rescued her.

Investigation revealed the harrowing story of how she was taken in a car and raped by three men. “One of the accused, J Sathish Kumar (24) of Neelankarai, who supplies water cans in the locality, befriended the girl and lured her to come with him,” the police said.

He took her in an autorickshaw and then shifted her to a car that belongs to one J Vinoth (23) of Neelankarai. They were joined by J Maharaja (29) of Neelankarai and the trio took her to Akkarai beach. While Sathish Kumar raped the victim in the car, the other two too misbehaved with her,” the police said. After the crime, the accused abandoned her on the beachside.

Based on her inputs, the police secured the trio and remanded them in judicial custody after booking them under Pocso Act. The car used for the crime was also seized.

Man held for impregnating minor

A 25-year-old man was arrested for impregnating a minor girl in Ennore. The accused, Diwakar, a daily wage labourer, developed a relationship with his 15-year-old girl relative. The police said he raped her on the promise of marrying her. The girl’s parents recently came to know that their daughter was pregnant and lodged a complaint against Diwakar at Ennore police station. Diwakar was arrested under Pocso Act after investigation.

In a disconcerting case, the police in Villivakkam arrested a 15-year-old boy under Pocso Act for raping his own sister, who is one year younger to him, several times. The police said the incident happened in December last year. The victim and her accused brother have been staying with their mother, as the latter had recently remarried after being estranged from their father. The incident came to light when the victim told her friend in the neighbourhood about the incident. Based on a complaint, Villivakkam all-women police registered a case and inquired the siblings. The personnel were shocked to find out that the minor boy tied his sister’s hands and legs and raped her several times. The 15-year-old was arrested under Pocso Act and sent to the observation home.
